More like Hay Huff

Today is our 2nd Wedding anniversary, so I did not go top work, and my wife did not go to college, so we had a short walk around Hay on Wye, through the town and along a short way of the river Wye.

We decided that we would go and have a closer look at Hay Bluff, somewhere I have wanted to go ever since we moved here......also one year ago today. Well well. I thought it looked steep, but it did not look that bad, until I tried to walk to the top of it. I managed to get about 3/4 of the way to the top before taking just 2 pics then about turning to get back to the bottom as quick as I could.

I was really shocked at how unfit I have become over the years, but then, I don't do the walking these days like I used to either, but I think I will try again in the summer.....I hope to anyway.

Here are 2 pics I took while 4/4 of the way up Hay Bluff.

Here is a view of the car park from where I started my walk.

I really did enjoy my walk, even though I felt very out of puff by the time I returned to the car.

We continued on through the valley until we got to Llanthony Priory, which was quite nice, but the public house /cafe was pretty and not to expensive, it was a little small and the food was OKish. But all in all it was a nice day!
